At the National Cemetery in Alabama, I discovered a haunting beauty where history and artistry converge. These photos capture that quiet power and the allure of memory etched in stone.
About Me
I’m an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys the tranquility and beauty of historic, forgotten, and unkept cemeteries. The older, the better! Strolling through a meadow of tall summer grass with patches of flowers hosting buzzing bees sets the stage for a karmic walk through our final resting place. There’s something about seeing nature creeping its vines up and around old, faded headstones—large trees growing through concrete plots, toppling the structures over. There’s a hidden beauty that lingers between raw nature and faded stone, a beauty I enjoy capturing and sharing with fellow casual wanderers. Enjoy!
